How long is deer season in Virginia?
November 13 through 27 (full season): In all areas unless otherwise noted below. November 20 and November 27: On National Forest and Department-owned lands in Carroll, Craig, and Wythe counties and on National Forest lands in Giles County and on private land west of Rts. 613 and 731 in Rockingham County.
Can I hunt on my own land without a license in VA?
License Exemptions Resident or nonresident landowners, their spouses, their children and grandchildren and the spouses of such children and grandchildren, or the landowner’s parents, resident or nonresident, do not need a license to hunt, trap or fish (on inland waters) within the boundaries of their own lands.

Yes. There are three antlerless only deer tags on a deer and turkey license. Two antlerless deer must be killed before a second buck can be killed, but only one additional antlerless deer must be taken to kill a third buck.

According to Virginia law, vehicle carry of a loaded handgun is allowed in a secured compartment, or plainly visible without a permit.
Is there a bounty on coyotes in VA?
There is no state bounty for coyotes; contact your county administrator’s office to see if there is a local bounty.
Is deer farming legal in Virginia?
No, private individuals are not allowed to own or keep deer in Virginia and deer in this case includes all the members of the deer family ( e.g., white-tailed deer, moose, elk, etc.). The only exception to this prohibition are wildlife exhibitors and/or zoos permitted by the Department.
Can you hunt with an AR 15 in Virginia?
Most AR-15s shoot bullets that are too small to be legal to hunt deer and bears in Virginia. But Virginia doesn’t regulate hunting by gun style, bullet speed or rifle type.
