Do you need a bear tag in GA?
Hunting deer, bear and turkey requires a Big Game License plus free Harvest Record for deer, turkey, alligator, and bear (Northern Zone only). Migratory bird hunting (including dove) requires the Georgia Migratory Bird Stamp, and hunting duck and geese additionally requires the Federal Duck Stamp ($25).

Other good public hunting grounds include Cooper’s Creek WMA, Rich Mountain WMA, Blue Ridge WMA, The Chestatee WMA, the Dawson Forest WMA, Swallow Creek WMA and the Chattahoochee WMA in White County. Areas within the 750,000 acre Chattahoochee National Forest not WMAs also offer plenty of room to hunt.
